Farm Progress Show Demo 2012 - Day 1 Wrap Up

The 2012 Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA is already underway and with the first day of demonstrations in the book it's clear that the new Elite Series by Geringhoff is in for a big year.

With two heads in the field, Geringhoff had a chance to show off its Rota Disc Elite's patented stalk destruction technology as well as the NorthStar Elite's traditional and reliable knife roll technology.

First up was the 8 row 30 Rota Disc Elite corn head with Integrated Crop Sweeper and End Row Augers, on a 7010 CaseIH combine. Running in extremely weedy corn, the RD Elite and ICF System made quick work where others failed. Able to combine at full speed, it was clear that Geringhoff's exclusive system covered up any limitations that the competitors showed.

The second head running in the field was a 12 row NorthStar Elite on a Versatile combine. Running in the same weedy corn, the NorthStar head ran comparably to it's Rota Disc brethren even without the benefit of the ICF Sweeper.

You can see these heads in person by visiting the Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA from now until Thursday August 30th. Field demonstrations start at 11:00 am each day.
